I love art books. I love learning new information about art but you have to open the book and study the information to get it into your brain. You have to use the information to get it on your canvas or watercolor paper. “Your Artist’s Brain” by Carl Purcell is a book filled with good information. It is presented in a way that helps you apply it to your art. I had the opportunity to take a workshop from Carl Purcell and the workshop helped me see parts of the book painted right before my eyes. I learned to look for patterns and how that would affect my paintings. The beautiful part about art is there is always something else to learn.
