Picture Book Marathon Day 16
The St. George Arts Festival notified me that I have been accepted into the Festival. It will be April 22nd and 23rd. With the cold wind howling outside, blowing in another winter storm, sunny St. George is sounding pretty good.
Hey, it just occurred to me, I’m over half-way through this marathon. When you run a marathon, the last couple of miles is the hardest. There is also the chance of hitting the wall. Hmmmmm.
Picture Book Marathon Day 14

Our four year old grandchild handed me a DVD of “Jaws” and wanted to see it. “I want to see it.”
“No, it’s too scary for you to watch.”
“I want to see it.” After a little back and forth, I said you have to ask your daddy. “I want to watch it Daddy.” His daddy told him it was not like “Finding Nemo”, it was scary. So we put “Jaws” away. But it did getting me thinking. If you combined “Jaws” with “Finding Nemo” you would get the amazing picture book, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Eating Nemo. A picture book not for the faint of heart. Happy Valentine’s Day.

I went ice fishing yesterday and it was freezing, about 18 degrees before the wind chill. The ice was very thick out on the lake. Anybody without a ice fishing tent soon left. We caught our limit in ten minutes and one of them was the biggest fish ever pulled out of the lake. Wait a minute that’s two big whoppers. Oh well back to drawing. (Attention: This is not a self-portrait.)
