It is amazing what you can see right out your window. ย Does anybody know what kind of woodpecker this is? How about the jumble of sticks in the last picture.

That is a magpie condo that is going in. They have been building it stick by stick for a month. You can’t tell where the door is but they disappear through it.

Looks like a pretty good shelter on a cold spring day.

  1. This is a male downy woodpecker. ๐Ÿ™‚ The jumble of sticks is probably an old squirrel nest? But i dont know anything about magpies yet. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hey Kims, Thanks for the name of the male downy woodpecker. I watched the magpies put together this jumble of sticks. Last year the nest was a Robins and this year the magpies built it stick by stick. It has been fun to watch. You have some amazing pictures of birds on your blog.
