It doesn’t take a lot of time to work up some figures in clay to see how the light and shadows will work with a figure. Here is something I worked up for one of my watercolors. I love the fun shapes that shadows make.

Last night was the artist reception for the Davis County Art Show. It was amazing to be surrounded by so many great artists. I received an Honorable Mention and a purchase award for “Red Tulip Spring”. The art is displayed on three floors and can be seen at the new Davis County Building in Farmington. You should go and take a look. It is inspiring. You should also check out Catherine Hostetter’s paintings of places around Sugarhouse. It is the last Sugar House art walk tonight at Local Colors. My paintings are down stairs in the corner pocket.
